Will do, Alex! Thanks! Keep me posted when you start your build. Also, make sure you check out the one that got me started: http://www.thehunterslair.com/topic/30932-kaylas-mini-build-comikaze-first-huntplaydate-last-page/#

A little less than half of the dreadrings I'll need. Painters tape rolled inside out around a 3/4" dowel, then regularly over that and with smaller strips at the ends. There will be PlastiDip/paint added (which is why the dowel was 3/4" while the backer rod was 5/8"). Spent $0 on this part...

Thanks! Haha! A little. But most of it's somewhere between him being him and him taking direction well...when I can get him to focus! ;) I think his Hunter name will be whatever the translation is for "Loose Cannon." Lol!

Thank, bro! I'm partial to Jungle Hunter's gun metal. Might go antique pewter, give it some mottled weathering.

So he felt well enough to suit up tonight. And I must say I'm impressed. More worth the fact that he took off running, dived across the couch, and the suit survived without a mark. Better than Bill Paxton crash testing his Colonial Marines armor at James Cameron's direction. ;)

Also, turning the dreads to match their trained packaging shape seems to help a lot.

I've got the mask and cranium sitting up on the closet. It appears to be "weight training" the dreads to hang as they should.

Thanks, Alex! I figure I'm about half way there labor wise. Which isn't labor. Lol. I'm enjoying the whole thing. I finally found a suitable use for a DeWalt power drill!!! Let me know if you do!

Finally....DREADLOCKS!!! Or as I like to call them...PredLocks! Made from 5/8" backer rod at lengths of 3", 12", and 15-18" depending on placement; about 40-46 of them. Drilled the 3/8" holes into the foam headpiece. And after cooking the cut tips over the stove, pulled each Lock through. They...

Minor detailing improvements. Been off this build for two weeks too long, but moving forward a little anyway.

No photos this time. I put about $10 more in a couple pieces of foam and two bags of 5/8" backer rod. $45 on the budget so far. I rebuilt the back of the head into a better set of pieces; my first attempt at dreadlocks holes was terrible. Planning to drill this next attempt instead of cutting...

    Kids Predator Costume

Great work! Fantastic! I'm building a costume (P1 style Hunter) for my 4-year-old. Hoping the end is as impressive as this!
