I dont think that will make it past a weapon check at any cons you may plan on attending in costume.

general policy is it has to be peace bonded and statically secured.

Double check before taking it. The worse thing that will happen is they will have you take it back out to your car. The con I go to doesn't allow metal weapons at all. They're even cracking down on people who bring Airsoft guns.

Ones I go to, just make sure it is deactivated at check-in. Tennessee is a fairly liberal state as far as guns go and we have numerous manufacturers in the state. I believe the 50 caliber barrett was designed by some outfit in Nashville?

We even have laws on the books where you can open carry with no license. There have been multiple lawsuits and class actions against cities that have denied gun owners entry to public events.

You can open carry here as well, they're just cracking down on people bringing real firing firearms into the Con.

They need to do what San Francisco Comic Con does, vet each individual before admittance is allowed if they really want to allow for proper security. Anything less is feel good security.
