New sculpt in progress

Needs more work to look symetrical but it's better than the first try... Let me know what you think and any pointer are welcome as well. The ridges need to be adjusted so they look like a mirror image of one another from the back. Still needs the detailing, texturing and mandibles. First I plan to refine the basic look before I get too detailed. How do some of you more experienced sculptors get the head symetrical?
Here are the pics.

Your off to a great start! Now just a few tweaks, don't be affraid to take a break and come back with fresh eyes. Here's a couple of things I can see. I think the ridgeline for the dreadlocks should come further down on both sides of the face and get smaller. Will make it look wider. Your forehead could extend a little further back and more to the busts right side . Hopes this helps.

Ok, I made some creative changes to really set this Predator apart as being unique. Everyone has done the P1 so I went for something different, a more P2 style look. This is how I plan to finish the top row of the head with dread holes still to be placed around the edge. All dread holes will be redone and detail on the skin will be added later. Should look killer with mandibles with carving in them like AVP. I just listen to the sculpt tell me what to do next.
Sorry the pics are so small but I had to use a new webcam I got instead of my brother's digital Canon.
A little editing cleaned them up pretty good.

Mark he's looking good so far. I have just one other comment. You may want to taper the sides of the head a bit more. I photoshopped your pic so you could see what I'm talking about. ~Mel

Here is how it looks now. Seems I keep modifying the design as I go but that's half the fun I guess. Beside this design is totally an original one unlike any other predator sculpt. Sort of sets it apart from the other P1's and P2's I've seen done.
I've added the texture to the skin so it isn't too smooth. Still leaves a lot of options open for coloration for a wide variety of color schemes. So here are the new pics. Feel free to post comments. Thanks

Slight optical illusion on the one above, it was photographed at a slight angle.

Looking really cool!

I am starting to think that it would make a great Atlantean Predator with his "fin-like" crown.

Can't wait to see it finished!

With all of these new characters coming into the Predator Universe, we're going to need a bigger ship!!!!

I'm doing some more work on mine tonight around the crown and mandible area.

Your predator is going through quite an evolution. It's looking better and better.

Here is a thought for you. One of my favorite skin textures. Get some RTV and cast the skin/rind of a cantalope. It doesn't matter if you use a positive or a negitive mold impression, it is rad-different from wrinkles in the skin.

Thnik about it????

Haven't made any drastic changes just raiser his lower jaw and carved some mandibles for him from polyester resin bones from an anitomical skull and skine I had to get a weathered Elder look for him. Just need to carve some of his smaller teeth in the morning.

I did a little work on bulking up the bone structure, muscle and overall size of the area around the lower jaw where the ouwer jaw bones extend from the sides of the head to the teeth. it loooked liek it needs a little more meat on the bones on the left side of the image. I also lowered the snout more to make him look more pissed off. A few more tweaks and final detailing and the Lost Atlantean Hunter should be ready for casting. A perfect match for an Atlantean cannon.

The time has come...to cast this guy up!
One question first .... should I do a collar on the sculpt or do it without the collar? I can make the colllar seperatly if I need to. Your thoughts are welcome. Now the pics!

Looks like the head leans a little to the right. But I think your doing a great job Mark. I like that you are making your suit. Keep on claying.

I spent about 6 hours on this right hand so far. I started on it this afternoon around 3pm. No armature just solid clay. [url="http://
