I know this has been done in the past by others with much more experience than me, but this will be my third go at airbrushing, and my second chance to make a P1 head look half decent. This was my first attempt:

The only thing I like about it is the viens...the paint job was meh, but then it was my 1st shot an airbrushing.

This is how I started out with the new DBP1:

I was going to go with an Elder look, but then I changed my mind and decided to go with the traditional P1. I want to give it my own paint scheme, but still easily recognizable.

This is my base skin tone color:

And then I added the second layer:

Thats all I got around to tonight. I was busy getting the teeth for Wolf ready to paint, so I hope to be done both the Wolf and this P1 by Monday.

Hey your first does'nt look half bad but I can see so far this ones going to look a lot better unless you do something unforseen and screw it up! :) I think its going to turn out great. You have started with a great foundation so it should be smooth sailing . Keep us posted on the progress. Look forward to seeing pics when complete! :( Look forward to seeing the wolf also!

Jason, I like the colours they looks real good.

the only thing i would say is look at Fettsters thred on the rose mask, i think hes got the shape and design of the brown spots on his forehead perfect IMO.

but if your doing your own thing then cool :) i am only trying to help.

the more masks you do the bette you will get :( and your doig a cracking job anyway

that one is soo sweet :)
i luv the DB v2 pred masks

Thanks! This is an easy way for you to follow along and all you need to do is choose your own colors and the shape/size/amount of spots. Thats the tough part - painting spots on because they take a loooooong time. I used to look at Mel and Scott and wonder how the heck they did it - now I know. Although my spots are nowhere near as finely detailed as theirs. I tried to make my spots smaller and more defined, but everytime I tried the airbrush spit out too much paint. ;) I tried fine, med, and large tips to achieve small spots with no excess spray, but no luck. Maybe if I had more time to practice, or a better compressor/airbrush I could become like the Pred Paint Master - Scott...;)

Quick question to anyone who has used Permawet. Does Permawet adhere to resin thats been given a coat of primer?

I'm wondering if I can glue the teeth on, and then coat the entire mask with Permawet (including teeth)?

Second question - can I use a simple brush to apply the Permawet instead of an airbrush? Does it apply the same as Prosaide, other than when it dries it's non-sticky?

Is there anything else I should be aware of before I continue?

i wish i could paint my mask so..

Would you recommend putting the Permawet on the teeth as well?
