My first attempt....still work in progress
Good attempt) From this view it seems to be bigger that it should be. No?
Yes it is but is compensated by other parts of the armor....
very good progress!
So each block mesure 15 cm length, 3,5 cm of height, 10 cm of large .....
This is the result...not bad but i can make it better
The feet as of today, the claws are made of Sculpey and glued on with E-6000. I'll give the claws a "pedicure" (sanding and painting) and then I'll cover the boots with liquid Latex, Daiso and more liquid Latex
I found the Daiso clay at a Daiso store... I am quite happy. Hopefully these three packs are enough
Kryptaos YES that is what you need!!!!!!! AWESOME Krypt...... You will see that this stuff works pretty good with latex and water.....and it is so light that you can just use it on your Predator costumes without doing molds witch cost many $$$$
Would rubber cement be an acceptable primer for the feet? I have some at home and don't want to blow $17 on a bottle of party store liquid Latex if I don't have to, my only other option would be to order off Amazon and that will take a while to arrive, I want to start ASAP
yes rubber cement would do the job i guess ( I am not sure thought)
Hey nice work sculpting the feet.I took the easy way out and got a pair of latex lizard feet from spiderman and use that as a base . Then i will use spray foam to shape and regular foam to add the side and back toes .
I'm using Fleeced and Confused's cotton balls and paper towels approach now:
You're in Japan? Me too...
WOW... Gonna head to a daiso store this weekend!!!
Keep me updated with how it works out!
I'm actually from the US, there are Daiso stores scattered around.
I will likely use the Daiso to smooth the area where the claws are glued to the toes in order to make them look more natural, the paper towels, cotton balls and 3M 77 is great for shaping and I'm not sure how much Daiso I will need
I did not know that (I'm Australian - but living in Japan)... VERY hopeful I can get that clay in the store here!
Are the feet flexible?
gabri Yes this light Daiso clay is flexible somehow if you pour Latex to it ;-)
