Good stuff Uratz Always nice to practice at a small scale!
Worked more on this Punisher 1/6th scale mask. Fixed the symmetry issues, forms and etc. Just try to make everything balance but not mirror exact. The forms just have to be on the same level horizontally and not leaning or distorted, the individual forms can be a bit different since its an organic skull.
If it was an Iron Man helmet..now that would be different. LOL
Hey thats pretty cool. Nice going!
Here's more update:
The head is all f-ed up leaning all over the place. but you know I'm gonna mold it and do another battle damage version.
Its my first 1/6th so let it be distorted.
Very cool, Nice job Mike!
This is a Wolverine Cowl project commissioned by someone. Its pretty much done out of charity with the material costs covered.
I just want to do it to try out some latex and molding in plaster for future Predator mask projects. So why not?
Spent 1 week sculpting it, and still casting the 1st cowl, the latex slow to dry even with Slush n Dry layering method.
This is after I pulled the Wolverine out of the mold using a Hot water method to melt the clay by filling the gaps where the mold split.
result was a Burned face. So I started having fun (which I don't do anymore) and noodle with it. I don't really have any reference other than
sculpting from my inner demons subconscious LOL
damn Mike, that's pretty cool to turn the lump of demolded clay into it's own sculpt. looks really good man.
I used the decrepit looking textures as an inspiration point and sculpt from the depths of my dark mind.... LOL
i really dig that demon head reminds me of some old monster films i watched when i was young cool job brother
THe wolverine and punisher are pretty wicked Mike
Awesome, both the Wolverine and the demon
Wolverine Latex 1st Cast.
Came out better than I thought. The right thickness, flexible and stretchy cuz I am using the Pure Latex mixed with a Vinyl type liquid.
The mask looks distorted cuz its not sitting on the model's head which will make it look right. Its mounted on bubble wrap right now just for me to paint it.
2nd Casting came out all f-ed up with me trying to cast a latex cowl in 1 day! But as they say "When Life hands you a Lemon, Make Lemonade!"
NICE! way to turn a crappy cast into a beautiful piece. That dead Wovlerine is awesome dude. Man what an evil grin!
good job using only a little blood. some people use waaaay too much and ruin it.
Geez man go play the lottery! 2 happy accidents in one project
Yeah sometimes "less is more"
Nice Wolvie cowl...
Really nice work bud, looks the part! great that you turned the bad pull into something cool!
Yes I got the Midas touch
.. And in other news. I made it into the papers: Global Times featured a short article about my masks.

Just sick, bro. Absolutely killer work.
Working on a Jason Demonized Mask.
Its my new mask series where I either add a skull or demon into the original character be it movie or game or whatever.
It's my way to Infuse my inner demons into my work.
Still got a lot of stuff to fix: Balancing the forms, perfecting the forms to give it more meaness and adding more bone like features to it. Those holes also will be patched out and redone more like the original Jason mask little bit more oval and cavern like.
Hope you like it!
